Daily Planners
I started writing my tasks and my goals when I was in high school. Every day, I write what I plan and need to do--from washing the dishes and cooking to completing my homework assignment. Back then, I just used a simple notebook. Every time I finished something, I checked it off. I didn't know I was using a system of Day Planners and doing Daily Planning. Before I went to bed each night, I wrote what I want. I wrote my goals, such as buying a new purse that was popular at that time. Daily Planning using a Day Planners idea / system to budget was the only way I could buy that purse because we were very poor when I was growing up. And the only way I could buy that purse was to save from my every day money that my mother would give me.
It wasn’t until I was 16 years old and had finished my one-year vocational course in Professional Secretarial that I found Daily Planners in the school and office supplies department in a mall. I was amazed how many Daily Planners there were! Different colors, different styles, different versions. Wow! I never knew that Daily Planners existed! I chose the very simple one. It was the color pink, of course. The problem is that I didn't have any money to buy it. It was 50 cents (converted from Philippine Peso to the Dollar, $1 = Php 50). So I saved for it. After a month, I got my pink Daily Planner! How cool I felt! I felt so great that I imagined myself like those executives that I saw in TV who were using Daily Planners.
I just used that pink Daily Planner for a couple of months then I put it aside, because it didn't have the system that I want for a Daily Planner or Daily Planners. I went back to a simple notebook using my own system that worked well for me.
When I was 25 years old, my fiancĂ©e Keith saw how and what I am using for my tasks. He told me he will send me a Daily Planner like the Daily Planners executive are using in the United States. So he sent me a very elegant, nice red color Daily Planner. It was a very expensive $200 Daily Planner. It was Php 10,000 in our currency! My jaw dropped at how expensive that Daily Planner was! I thought, “Oh my gosh! I wish he could just have given me that money and I could have just bought a Php 100.00 ($2) worth of Daily Planner and use the rest of the money to buy more important things.
So, because it was so expensive, I used the Daily Planner and took very good care of it. After using it for 6 months, I put back that Daily Planner into its box and returned to my simple notebook using my own system. Clearly, I haven't seen any Daily Planners that have the same system that I have been using since high school.
On March 27, 2007, I stepped on the Land of Milk and Honey – the United States of America. And again, I was amazed how many kinds of Daily Planners exist that I never saw in our country. Yeah, I bought another Daily Planner again, and used that Daily Planner for one year. And again, I stopped using it because instead of helping me be in order with my daily tasks everyday, that Daily Planner overwhelmed me. It brought me to the realization that each Daily Planner doesn't really have a SYSTEM behind it.
That's why I invented The Simply Effective Daily Planner in July 2009. I also introduced this Simply Effective Daily Planner to my business partner – Nancy. Since then our lives have been so much easier, smoother, and more productive because of this Simply Effective Daily Planner. We have never been more happy, peaceful and accomplished. Why? Because this Daily Planner has a built-in proprietary system of the Power of Choice and Limitation. This Daily Planner changed our lives and we know and believe it will change yours, too.
