The Wedding planner

A comprehensive checklist of things to do for the bride and groom as the big day draws near

SIX TO NINE MONTHS BEFORE:

-Select the date, time and venue for your wedding.
-Set your budget and establish your priorities.
-Decide on the general theme and motif.
-Reserve the church/venue of ceremony an officiant.
-Find out about the church requirements and restrictions.
-Compile your guest list from the list you and your
-Fiancé will make. Notify out-of-town guest so they can
make early confirmation of attendance.

FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS BEFORE:

-Draft your missalettes as approved by your church, as

-Address invitation envelops.
-Send out invitations. Designate at least two people to
handle RSVP and prepare a list for monitoring acceptances.
-Have the missalettes printed. This should give you Ample time for corrections.
-Fulfill all church requirements, especially the
Canonical interview and announcement of wedding Banns.
-Start moving things to your home.
-Complete all bridal accessories and paraphernalia:
array, cord, garter, pillows, cake-cutter, goblets, guest book.
-Order wedding favors an ensure timely delivery.
-Inform musicians of your desired repertoire for the wedding.
-Schedule portrait taking with your photographer.



ONE MONTH BEFORE

-Call all guest who haven’t RSVP’d to determine final head count.
-Have final dress fitting and confirm delivery date.
-Make sure attendant’s shoes and accessories are dealt With.
-Sign up for bridal registry.
-Arrange a final meeting with wedding service-providers
to discuss all relevant details, especially delivery set-up time.
-Discuss reception program with coordinator and Emcee.
-Start working on your vows if you are saying your own.
-Attend and enjoy showers and bachelor parties! You’ve got to have some fun.
-Plan rehearsal dinner/ despedida de soltera.
-Do hair and makeup trial with makeup artist.

-Pick up wedding rings.

TO WEEKS BEFORE:

-Finalize lay-out of reception venue and seating arrangements.

-Double check favors, accessories and paraphernalia.
-Finalize program details with coordinator and emcee.
-Bride: Practice walking in your shoes.
-Groom: Try on your tux if you are wearing one.
-Confirm final payments to your wedding vendors.
-Pack for your honeymoon.
-Have your portrait taken. This should be the time when
you are not so stressed anymore.


ONE WEEK BEFORE:

-Head to the spa for a facial, manicure, pedicure, a relaxing massage, The works!
-Meet with the entourage if they should be assigned specific task.
-Have the rehearsal and the dinner after wards.
-Make final payments to your wedding vendors.
-Rehearse your speeches.


THE DAY BEFORE:

-Pack all the things you need to bring to the hotel the next day.
-Put in your pouch breath mints, oil-blotting paper and a small bottle of perfume.
-Prepare pins, mini-sewing kits and other first-aid/
emergency stuff in case of accidents.
-Take a break! You need to pull yourself for the big day.


ON THE DAY ITSELF:

-Enjoy the whole thing. You worked so hard for it, so just relish the time
You have with so many people you love And loved you back.
